Fairchild Equipment Donates Utility Vehicle to St. Norbert College Athletics
De Pere, WI – In a gesture that highlights community support and commitment to local athletics, Fairchild Equipment has donated a Cushman Hauler 1200 commercial utility vehicle to the athletics department at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin. The official ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on April 16, at the Mel Nicks Sports Complex on campus, enhancing the college’s sports infrastructure.
The ceremony saw attendance from key figures including from St. Norbert President Laurie Joyner, Michael Marsden, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Cam Fuller, Director of Athletics as well as coaches and advisors. Members of the Fairchild Equipment leadership team included CEO Chad Fairchild and Founder Gary Fairchild.
Prior to the donation, the Mel Nicks and Schneider Stadium athletics complexes lacked a dedicated utility vehicle. This caused logistical challenges for many sports teams in transporting equipment. “I approached Chad after a number of years of working without a cart and asked for help,” said Fuller. “Chad had zero hesitation in agreeing to assist. This vehicle will revolutionize our operations, bringing much-needed efficiency and safety to our sports programs.”
Chad Fairchild, a 2004 graduate of St. Norbert, fondly recalls his own experiences with St. Norbert College athletics. “Our dedication to community involvement is a core value at Fairchild Equipment. Providing this utility vehicle is a testament to our long-standing commitment. We believe in supporting the institutions that shape future leaders and we are proud to bolster the functional capacity of St. Norbert College Athletics.”
The Cushman Hauler 1200, applauded for its durability and efficient EFI engine, was custom designed for the heavy-duty transport tasks on athletic fields. Its arrival at the Mel Nicks Sports Complex is expected to significantly aid the efforts of athletic trainers and coaches, easing equipment transportation, and providing a mobility solution for injured players.
This collaboration between Fairchild Equipment and St. Norbert College Athletics not only strengthens the community but also showcases the impact of corporate citizenship and support for local academic institutions.
