ALAN Calls for Support to Aid Los Angeles Fire Survivors

The American Logistics Aid Network (ALAN) has mobilized to support relief efforts for communities impacted by the recent Los Angeles fires. Partnering with local non-profits, ALAN is addressing critical logistics challenges as organizations face an overwhelming influx of donations requiring sorting and distribution.

A lot of support will be needed in the coming days, weeks and months. If you have logistics capabilities like warehouse space, trucks, equipment, or supplies you’d be willing to donate to support fire relief efforts, please offer them now. ALAN will follow up when those resources are needed to fulfill future requests for assistance. Financial donations are also crucial to support ALAN’s response.

ALAN is currently offering just-in-time logistics guidance and will host a California fires logistics call on Monday at 3:30 PM Eastern for non-profits involved in the relief effort. Additionally, ALAN’s Disaster Microsite and Supply Chain Intelligence Center are providing vital updates on road closures, power outages, and other infrastructure disruptions.

The organization advises against sending supplies directly to Southern California at this time due to storage limitations and urges donors to monitor its Disaster Microsite for updates and unfilled assistance requests.

“Your support allows us to keep essential supplies moving into disaster-stricken areas,” said ALAN, emphasizing their commitment to helping communities recover.
