Role at MECO: Production Manager


How did you get into the business?
A: I first started welding at another company in Plattsmouth working nights but then they moved operations to Alabama. Then I started as a welder at MECO after a close friend helped me get a job here.

Accomplishments or milestones:
A: Working at MECO for 37 years.

First job:
A: For the first 6 months I worked as a welder then I moved into a lead position while still welding on and off for a while.

The best advice you have received:
A: To just stay the course.

Something else you’d like to accomplish:
A: I would like to see the company grow more than it has in the last 37 years that I have been here.

Outside Interests:
A: I like to go hunting and fishing.

Favorite vacation spots:
A: I like to just relax while camping.

What’s your favorite restaurant?
A: I liked Piccolos before they shut down. But now I like Longhorn Steakhouse.  

Advice for next person on job:
A: Stay the course.
