Toyota Material Handling Solutions Expands LA Fire Relief Efforts Through ALAN Partnership via MHEDA

[Los Angeles, CA, 3/27/2025] – Toyota Material Handling Solutions (TMHS) is pleased to continue its efforts in supporting the communities impacted by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. After providing assistance to first responders and the American Red Cross this January, TMHS is now extending its support to several LA-based non-profit organizations.

The most recent collaboration is with two organizations, the Community Solidarity Project and Westside Food Bank. Both are partnering with the American Logistics Aid Network (ALAN) through MHEDA to further relief efforts for those affected by the fires.

As part of this partnership, TMHS is providing a free-of-charge loan of two Toyota forklifts and offering complimentary operator safety training for its core teams at the Community Solidarity Project to ensure safety at their facility in Santa Monica.

The Community Solidarity Project is a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization dedicated to supporting communities affected by natural disasters. By partnering with other organizations, the group focuses on providing critical supplies and resources to individuals and families in need during recovery efforts.

About Westside Food Bank

Dedicated to alleviating hunger in West Los Angeles by providing food to individuals and families in need. Founded in 1981, the organization partners with over 300 local service agencies, schools, and community-based organizations to distribute millions of pounds of food annually to low-income individuals and families throughout the area.

About American Logistics Aid Network (ALAN)

Founded in 2005, ALAN provides donated logistics assistance to disaster relief organizations before, during and after catastrophic events. It is aided in these efforts by financial supporters, volunteers and in-kind donors. During 2024, it coordinated compassionate supply chain services for disasters such as Hurricane Helene, Hurricane Milton, winter storms and various tornadoes.
